Issue/Introduction

  • When attempting to create a Workload Planning: Traditional scenario you receive the following error:
    • 'You need to have at least one cluster in private cloud to be able to create scenario of this type'

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

  • What-if scenarios - Workload Planning: Traditional, will not work with a vSAN enabled cluster.
    • Use the Workload Planning: Hyperconverged option for vSAN enabled clusters.
    • See the next point if you only have the Traditional option and do not see the Hyperconverged or any other option.
  • You are using the Aria Operations Standard edition license.

Resolution

  • Apply an Advanced or Enterprise license to the cluster.
