Introduction:
This document shows how to configure the RSP probe to monitor Groups of hosts with both MB and percent.
Background:
If there are several hosts that have very large hard drives and hosts that have smaller hard drives, it is much more beneficial to monitor the large drives with MB; otherwise, RSP will alarm these hosts prematurely. The smaller drives can be configured to alarm with percent without any issues.
Environment:
UIM 7.x and later
RSP probe version 2.9 and later

Creating a Custom C:\ Template for Several Hosts
Custom templates need to be created for certain drives to be configured to monitor with MB and others to alarm with percent. To begin, click on the ‘Advanced Configuration section of the probe GUI:

***Note: If you do not select the Force Group Override check box, then some of the custom groups and templates will not alarm correctly or adhere to the groups they are configured to use.
