Issue/Introduction

When attempting to install NSX on newly added ESXi hosts in an existing cluster, the installation fails. The NSX Manager UI displays the following error under System > Configuration > Fabric > Nodes > Host Transport Nodes:

Configuration Mismatch

The host configuration does not match other hosts in this cluster.

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

This issue can occur if the new ESXi hosts have not been added to the appropriate Virtual Distributed Switch (VDS) in vCenter, resulting in a mismatch with the VDS configuration of the other ESXi hosts in the cluster.

Resolution

Verify the VDS configuration of the ESXi host in vCenter. Ensure that the correct VDS is assigned and the uplink mappings are properly configured before proceeding with the NSX installation.
