The VCF Download Tool (VCFDT) is designed to run on Linux. If you are using a Windows machine, you must first configure Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) in order to install and use VCFDT.
This guide explains how to set up WSL and prepare your Windows system to run the VCF Download Tool successfully.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding with the WSL setup, ensure the following:
Hardware Virtualization:
Verify that hardware virtualization is enabled on your machine.
If you are using a virtual machine, navigate to the Virtual Hardware tab, expand CPU, and enable the Expose hardware-assisted virtualization to guest OS option.
Update the hardware version, if required:
In the VM Hardware Compatibility panel, click Upgrade to Match Host.
Turn on the VM after applying these changes.
