Issue/Introduction

Following the update to Messaging Gateway (SMG) 10.9.1, the 'grow-disk --status' and 'grow-disk -s' commands fail with the following error:

smg [10.9.1-3]> grow-disk --status
Beginning grow_disk.sh - Tue Jun 17 09:22:29 AM PDT 2025
/usr/local/bin/grow-disk.sh: line 71: /usr/sbin/gdisk: No such file or directory
Unable to set 'DISK_TYPE' using command 'get_disk_type'.
Unable to determine disk type.  Aborting.
ERROR: system: Failed to execute '/usr/local/bin/grow-disk.sh status':

Additionally, running the grow-disk command without any options does not produce an error message. However, the data partition fails to expand as expected.

Environment

Version: 10.9.1, 10.9.2

Cause

The underlying gdisk package used to generate the disk status for the grow-disk command is not installed in SMG 10.9.1 or 10.9.2 releases.

Resolution

This issue will be addressed in a future release of Messaging Gateway
