SiteMinder policy server log files permission settings?

Issue/Introduction

Currently out of the box (OOTB) Siteminder Policy server log files are generated with permissions 644.

-rw-r--r--. 1 smuser smuser         34 Jun 11 17:59 smaccess.log
-rw-r--r--. 1 smuser smuser     2092 Jun 11 18:15 smps.log
-rw-r--r--. 1 smuser smuser    4179 Jun 11 18:19 smtracedefault.log

How to set to generate these files with 640 permissions.

Environment

Policy Server Version: Any Supported Version

O/S: RedHat

Resolution

The current permissions are set by default for the user smuser. On Linux, the default umask typically results in files being created with 644 permissions. 

To change this behavior, It is required to update the umask for the user to set it to 640 permission settings or whatever permissions that business requires.
