Issue/Introduction

You receive the following error across all ESX nodes in your VSAN cluster.

"vSAN cluster configuration consistency"

Details
"Key Management Servers information is inconsistent with cluster configuration"

 

Environment

vSAN cluster with Data at Rest Encryption

Cause

You renamed the KMS servers DNS and kept both entries on the vCenter - Key Providers screen:

Resolution

- Remove the old KMS Key provider and leave only the new entry.
