"Error determining the CA Spectrum Features" message displayed installing Spectrum on Linux

Issue/Introduction

While installing Spectrum on Linux, the message "Error determining the CA Spectrum Features" is displayed and unable to continue with the Spectrum installation.

Environment

Installing Spectrum on Linux

Resolution

If not re-installing after a failed installation, shutdown all Spectrum processes and reboot the system

If re-installing after a failed installation, do the following:

1. Make a backup of any customizations from the $SPECROOT/custom directory area and save to a safe place outside the $SPECROOT directory

2. Copy a few recent database save files to a safe place outside the $SPECROOT directory

3. Completely uninstall Spectrum and remove the $SPECROOT directory

4. Reboot the system

5. Reinstall Spectrum

6. Reload the database save

7. Copy custom files back
