Issue/Introduction

Perform the Datacom Server V15.1 - Receive Order Workflow to retrieve published PTFs ("fixes") from Broadcom.

 

Resolution

1. Display the Software Instances table in z/OSMF (Software Management, Software Instances).
   
   

2. Right click on the on the Software Instances Name and select Perform Workflows. 
   
   
   
   
3. Right click Datacom Server V15.1 - Receive Order and select Open. 
   
   
4.  Right Click on SMP/E Receive Order and select Perform. 
   
   
   
   
5. Specify SMP/E SMPNTS directory, the Java Path, SMP/E Class Path and click NEXT.
   
   
   
   
6. Specify the name of the Keyring, the name of the Certificate and click Next. 
   
   
   
   
7. Review and confirm the information entered and click Next. 
   
   
   
   
8. Review and edit the JOBCARD as needed.  Then select the desired 'Apply Updates To' option and click NEXT. 
   
   
   
   
9. Click OK to confirm.
   
   
   
   
10. Review and edit the generated JCL as needed, then click Next to proceed.
    
    
    
    
11. Select submit the JCL, and then click Finish. 
    
    
    
    
12. Click the Status Tab to review the JOB output.
