Issue/Introduction

When printing a pdf file, it takes from 10 to 20 seconds to print once the print button is clicked and the pdf is put into the print queue.
When the pdf is on the local drive, it takes about 10 seconds.
When the pdf is on a file share, Box, it takes about 20 seconds.
During that time, Adobe is frozen.
This happens with Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat
This only happens on the Windows endpoints, not Mac endpoints.

Environment

DLP agent versions 16.0.2, 16.0.1
It may affect earlier versions but only these two were tested.

Cause

The printer filters in the agent configuration was very large with multiple duplicates.
It can take a long time for the agent to parse a large set of printers in the printer filters list in the agent configuration.

Resolution

Removing the duplicate printer filters from the agent configuration reduced the time it takes for the PDF to print.

The 16.1 agent was updated to better handle inspecting PDF files.
