Cannot import auto discovered VM [VM Name] from VC because port group [VC and Network Information], which is not a valid Organization VDC network.

Issue/Introduction

Error when importing auto discovered VM:

"Cannot import auto discovered VM [VM Name] from VC because port group [vcId=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx, moref=network-xxxx] is connected to VC network [Network Name], which is not a valid Organization VDC network.

However from vCenter the VM is attached to Network related to Organization VDC. And not as the error suggests network-xxxx and named [Network Name] from the ERROR.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

Cloud Director DB has outdated information stored in the vCenter Inventory tables.

Resolution

To force a resync between Cloud Director and vCenter perform a vCenter Reconnect:
