Issue/Introduction

Not able to view assigned change request in CCF with Option 3 - "Display assigned change requests" or logout modules to an existing work order.

Resolution

Table of Contents

Background

Option 3 -  Display assigned change requests
  • will show the list of Work Orders based on who has the Work Order assignment
Option 8 -  Print or display LIB/CCF reports
  • report view will show all of the assignments based with either programmer or manager
Updating the Logon ID Conversion Table (Option 12.8) only changes user definitions. It does not transfer existing module checkouts because those are linked to specific Change Request assignments.

Resolution

To use an existing work order to check out modules which were not originally assigned to a programmer when the Work Order was created, a manager or programmer will need the work order reassigned to them. The CCF Administrator or the manager who has administration authority can reassign a Work Order.

Perform the following steps with CCF Administrator authority:

  1. Verify the new Programmer and Manager IDs are defined in the CCF Tables:
    • Option 12.1 (User Definition)
    • Option 12.2 (Manager Definition)
    • Option 12.3 (Programmer Table)
  2. Navigate to Option 12 (ADMIN SERVICES) from the CCF Primary Option Menu.
  3. Select Option 9 (REASSIGN).
  4. Enter the following details:
    • REQUEST ID: Leave blank to reassign all requests.
    • PROGRAMMER: Enter the ID of the departing programmer.
    • REASSIGN TO PROGRAMMER: Enter the new programmer's ID.
  5. Press Enter to execute.

Note: If the ASSIGNMENT or REASSIGN lines are not visible, ensure your ISPF Terminal Characteristics (Option 0) are set to Screen format: 3 (MAX) or enter the command pfshow off.

  1. Verify visibility: The new programmer should now see the modules under Option 3 (Display assigned change requests).
