Issue/Introduction

• When you try to enable DHCP on an organization VDC network you get an error:
  
  Error: [ ########-####-####-####-############ ] Org Vdc OVDCname(com.vmware.vcloud.entity.vdc:########-####-####-####-############) does not have the following network capability: networkModeDhcp

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Cause

This issue occurs because there is no assigned NSX service edge cluster to the organization VDC in which the organization VDC network is deployed.

Resolution

Assign a NSX service edge cluster to the organization VDC in which the organization VDC network is deployed.

This can be done as per the documentation, Assign an Edge Cluster to a VMware Cloud Director Organization Virtual Data Center.
