Stuck deploying replacement node for broken Aria Operations for logs node in Aria Lifecycle manager

Issue/Introduction

Add new node on Aria Lifecycle manager (LCM) for Aria Operations for Logs failed with error: LCMVRLISYSTEM45046

This occurred in LCM at stage 9 - Add VMware Aria Operations for Logs Node to Master node


Environment

Aria Operations for logs 

Aria Suite Lifecycle

 

Cause

The issue was identified when attempting to manually add the node through the cluster outside of LCM. 

An error similar to the following was found on the Aria Operations for Logs appliance in the file: /storage/core/loginsight/var/cassandra.log

ERROR [CompactionExecutor:3] org.apache.cassandra.io.sstable.CorruptSSTableException: Corrupted: /storage/core/loginsight/cidata/cassandra/data/system_distributed/parent_repair_history-#######################/me-937-big-Data.db

Resolution

 

The issue was resolved by following the KB:

The upgrade of Aria operations for logs on either the master or worker node fails with error "Failed to run nodetool-no-pass upgradesstables"
