Spectrum not processing trap

Issue/Introduction

We have a pingable model configured to send SNMPv3 traps. We have SNMPv3 profile configured in Spectrum and sending test trap from the device. This is getting processed by Spectrum and showing under the model properly. But if we send actual alarm traps (Major, Critical, and Clear), traps are being received at the Spectrum server and not being processed by Spectrum.

We have mapped all the traps (Test Trap, Warning, Critical, and Normal/Clear traps) under $SPECROOT/custom/Events/<VendorName>/AlertMap in Spectrum.

Cause

The varbind was mapped incorrectly as an OctetString instead of ipAddress

Resolution

Map the varbind as the correct type.
