Unable to resize VM boot disk with error "groupResourcePlacementLink is a required field" in Aria Automation

Issue/Introduction

• In Aria Automation, when trying to resize a VM's boot disk with the day 2 action you get an error "groupResourcePlacementLink is a required field"

Environment

• VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1

Cause

• Sometimes, when the VM are vMotioned in vCenter, the "groupResourcePlacementLink" is removed because the target host and storage were changed.
  In this case, the day 2 resize boot disk will fail with this error "groupResourcePlacementLink is a required field".

Resolution

• Resolution to be included in VCF 9.1.0.0
• Resolved in 8.18.1 Update 3.
• The workaround is to use custom provisioning-service images. Please contact Broadcom support to assist with this workaround.
