Trying to use a Netapp S3 bucket for DSM Logs and Backups
We configured the "Provider Log Repository URL" settings with information on a S3 bucket/local NetApp storage system. Tested with browser to confirm the URL was reachable.
However, from within the DSM interface UI we are not unsuccessful in connecting to the S3 bucket.
DSM 2.2
An underscore character in the DNS name of the S3 bucket (storage) was causing the connection error.
There was a underscore in the DNS name. Removing the underscore with a dash character was performed. Then replacing/updating the certificates so the DNS name matched the certificate we were successful connecting the S3bucket.
See Object Storage requirements documentation for naming convention requirements.
