Spectrum alarms in OI not getting closed when alarms are cleared in Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

Spectrum alarms continue to stay opened in OI, even though the alarms have been cleared in Spectrum. Additionally, encountering errors when trying to manually clear the alarms in OI. This issue is sporadic only impacting some Spectrum alarms. It looks that SDP is sending close alarm details.

Environment

DX OI v24.1.HF06   Spectrum SDP v23.3.2

Resolution

The OI has around 18K alarms in OPEN state. From SDP documentation it is mentioned that reconciliation limits to a maximum of 10k alarms. This could be the reason for not getting CLOSED notification to OI.

 

For DX O2 SAAS, New functionally has been added to the product to handle this limit. The fix will be available in DX O2 SAAS release 25.8.1.
