Error 401 while opening JMX Console URL

Issue/Introduction

When opening JMX Console URL, it shows error 401 immediately:

Release Automation 6.8 and above

Resolution

When JMX Console is opened, a prompt is shown asking for user and password:

In this case, the prompt is never shown and the site goes directly to Error 401. This may have 2 causes:

- Company security configuration.

For some security policies, in some companies the pop-ups are blocked, this can cause that the JMX Console prompt will never be shown, generating the Error 401.

- Browser configuration.

There is a setting in Microsoft Edge that can affect this behavior. If the setting “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommend)” is turned off, the prompt for user and password will never be shown either:
