Unable to see the VCD binaries in the VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager (VCPLCM).

Issue/Introduction

Under the deployments tab, the Product binaries are unavailable. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager 1.7

Cause

Due to insufficient permissions /cplcmrepo directory cannot be accessed.

Check the cplcmrepo directory permissions:

ls -al /

Note: If /cplcmrepo has 700 permissions (owner has full access, no access for group or others) and is owned by root, the vcplcm user won't be able to access /cplcmrepo/vcd, even if /cplcmrepo/vcd has 755 permissions.

Resolution

Take a snapshot of the VMware Cloud Provider Lifecycle Manager appliance and follow the steps below to resolve the permissions issue.

1. Take an SSH session to VCPLCM as vcplcm user.
2. Run the below command to fix the permissions.

   chmod -R 777 /cplcmrepo
