Issue/Introduction

In DSM Explorer under Control Panel, some folders are missing.

Example :
In below screenshot, following folders are missing :
Collect Tasks
Collection Modules
File Collection
External Asset Recognition

Under Policies folder, Query Based folder is missing

Here is a correct view :

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 - All CU

Cause

AM Components are installed on the Domain Manager but there are some missing registry keys for Asset Management.

Output of dsmver command does not display Asset Management components :

and/or

In registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ComputerAssociates\DSM Framework\Skin Profiles\DSM\EN\Products, 2ASM is missing

Resolution

1- On Domain Manager create a file add_am.reg with notepad containing these lines :

Remark : Change the version number if installed version is not 14.5.0.153


2- Doble click on add_am.reg to import the registry keys.

3- Open DSM Explorer and check that all folders are present.
