Issue/Introduction

The localhost logs show ORA-2396 whenever connecting to the database.

ORA-02396 (“exceeded maximum idle time, please connect again”)

Cause

This was determined to be caused by an environmental setting

Resolution

Contact the DBA to diagnose the ORA-2396 error.

Broadcom does not have a specific recommended limit. Either Unlimited or extremely high. We expect that the network will not kill DLP pooled connections
