Issue/Introduction

In the MUX Resources module, in cases where resources values are changed, there is likelihood that licensing counts will continue to be adversely increasing.

  1. In MUX Resource module, edit any value for a user currently having View Only (VO) access.
  2. In Classic, Administration, Resources, searching for that user's Resource Instance Access Rights, see that a new row is added "Resource - Enter Time."
  3. In Classic, Administration, License Information, count of View Only (VO) decreased by one, and increases Restrictive by one count.
  4. In Classic, Administration, Resources, that user's Resource Instance Access Rights, remove to delete the newly added "Resource - Enter Time" access.
  5. License counts appropriately reverts back.

Resolution

DE171702 - Editing VO resource using MUX Resource module flips to Restricted license is fixed in Clarity 16.4.

The system automatically assigns the "Resource - Enter Time" instance right when the "Open For Time Entry" option is selected, if the right is not already assigned. It removes the right when "Open For Time Entry" is unchecked, provided the right was previously assigned.

The system does not add or remove the "Resource - Enter Time" right when users update any fields other than the "Open For Time Entry" checkbox, whether using MUX, Classic, or XOG.

A user is classified under the "View Only" license type if the "Resource - Enter Time" right is not assigned. Upon assignment of the right, the user is reclassified under the "Restricted" license type.
