Issue/Introduction

  • Upgrade or inventory sync of Aria Operations for Logs from LCM fails with the following error:  

  • The following error was observed in the logs:

Environment

  • Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

  • SDDC Manager 5.x

  • Aria Lifecycle 8.18.x 

Cause

In VCF-aware mode, a VIP is mandatory for  Aria Operations for Logs Deployment.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, configure a Virtual IP (VIP) for the Aria Operations cluster by activating the Integrated Load Balancer. Please follow the steps outlined in the documentation provided at the link below:

Activate the Integrated Load Balancer
