Issue/Introduction

  • After deploying OVA template in vSphere appliance URL is unreachable.
  • When checked from vSphere, VM is up and running.
  • On browser blank screen is observed with error "ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED"

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED is related to proxy settings.

Resolution

Need to disable proxy on browser or OS level before accessing Aria Operations.
 
Below are the steps to check for proxy settings in different browsers:
  • Chrome: Click the three-dot menu > Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings. 
  • Firefox: Click the menu button (three lines) > Settings > General > Network Settings > Settings. 
  • Internet Explorer: Click the gear icon > Internet Options > Connections tab > LAN settings. 
  • Edge: Similar to Chrome, click the three-dot menu > Settings > System > Open your computer's proxy settings.
  • Safari: Choose Apple menu  > System settings, click network in the sidebar, click a network service, click details, then click proxies. (You may need to scroll down.)
  • Opera: Go to Settings > Click Advanced in the left sidebar, and click Browser > Under System, click Open your computer’s proxy settings.
