Issue/Introduction

When support ask for CARE, user to run Remote Engineer however when run on linux harvester, below error is seen:

/opt/CA/NFA/Tools/RemoteEngineer/linux/RemoteEngineerCLI: error while loading shared libraries: libnsl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Environment

NFA - 24.3.x

OS - Linux

Cause

libnsl library is not installed on linux harvester as this library is not listed in required library/prerequisite. 

Resolution

Manually install libnsl as libnsl.x86_64 and run RE (RemoteEngineer) from <NFA_BASE>/Tools/RemoteEngineer as 

RemoteEngineerCLI.sh diagnostic

Provide answer as per the prompt to collect CARE. 

Actions available are:

• checkup - Run a quick checkup.
• diagnostic - Run a full diagnostic.
• create-case - Create a new support case.
• update-case - Update an existing support case.
• update-info - Update product information on jive community page.
