Assignment Open for Time Entry (OTE) vs Task OTE

Issue/Introduction

With the introduction of Open for Time Entry on the Assignments, when in the Assignment module you can add the Assignment OTE but you cannot tell if the task itself is OTE.

The task does need to be OTE for the assignment to show on the timesheet.

Resolution

A virtual attribute for the Task OTE can be created on the Assignment object and added to the assignment module in MUX, thus having both the task and assignment OTE fields show.

Steps to create the virtual attribute:

• On Assignment object / attributes tab
• Click on NEW VIRTUAL
• Choose Open for Time Entry attribute
• Click Add
• Provide Attribute Label (TaskOTE) - no spaces in the label or ID
• Provide Attribute ID
• Click Finish
• Add API Alias

Then you will be able to add it to the assignments in MUX and view both Assignment and Task OTE
