Issue/Introduction

Failed to deploy Windows server with error below:

Extensibility triggered task failed. Event ID: ######-#####-#####-########. Failure: Extensibility error received for topic compute.provision.post, eventId = '#######-####-####-####-###########': [10040] SubscriberID: vro-gateway-###########, RunnableID: #######-####-####-####-########### and SubscriptionID: sub_########### failed with the following error: Workflow run [#######-####-####-####-###########] completed with error [TypeError: Cannot find function reconfigVM_Task in object Not-Found. (Workflow:Set Notes On VM / Set Notes on Machine (item41)#25)]

Environment

Aria Automation 8.18.x

Cause

The root cause was traced to a recent certificate update on the vCenter endpoint.

Resolution

1. Update the cloud account in Aria Automation using the workflow/package available here: Broadcom KB 318756.
2. Update the vCenter endpoint configuration in vRealize Orchestrator by running the out-of-the-box (OOTB) workflow “Update a vCenter Server instance”.
