Why and how server dSeries (DE) did failover on its own?

Issue/Introduction

User may notice that De (High Availability) server failed over with out user interventions.

Parameter 5: de.example.com:7500: ESP dSeries Workload Automation Server is shutting down. Reason: Signal received by Server

 

 

Environment

ESP dSeries Workload Automation: 12.x or above

Cause

DE instance can failover due to OS restart, DB connection loss, user interaction such as issuing changerole command or DE service stoppage at OS level.

Resolution

For OS issues as in the above message in Introduction, check with OS admin on why did the OS restart.
