Issue/Introduction

Using Lifecycle Manager (LCM) and trying to add new Cloud Proxy (CP) node to existing aria operations environment fails with the error: "The network <NET_NAME> is not present  as part of cluster <CLUSTER_NAME>  Perform vCenter sync and retry."

Resolution

  • LCM must have access to vCenter where the CP is to be deployed, when CP is deployed via LCM. LCM cannot deploy appliance on vCenter that it's not connected to.
  • Resolution is Deploying the CP manually as we would do in a non-LCM environment. CPs cannot be managed from LCM if it's not aware of vCenter
