Issue/Introduction

Observed event:

Unknown alert received from device <name> of type Host_Device
Trap varbind data:

<Trap varbind information>

Model <name> of type Host_Device has been contacted.

 

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Spectrum releases

Cause

The Trap OID used in the AlertMap file is not matching the trap OID that is being sent from the device.

 

Resolution

Deleted the old MIB from Spectrum by following the below steps:

Once complete, verified the AlertMap and EventDisp Entries were correct.
