Issue/Introduction

  • When configuring a new outgoing replication in VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCDA) On Premises site one of  the below error is seen:

    Unable to connect to vCenter '#######-####-####-########dbdb'

    OR

    The operation cannot be initiaded from the cloud site because it has been restricted by the On-premises Site administrator. To configure replications go to On-Premises site

    OR

    No VMs are available

  • Two VCDA On Premises sites are paired to the same Cloud Director Replication Appliance Tenant and VCDA Cloud Site.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director Availability 4.7.3

Cause

The same Local Site name was given when pairing the two On Premises sites to the same Cloud Director Replication Appliance and VCDA Cloud Site.
The Local Site Name must be unique.
