How to Troubleshoot and Fix vCenter Plugin for HCX 4.11 on vCenter 7.x

Issue/Introduction

You are running HCX 4.11, and the vCenter version is 7.0. The following banner is displayed in the vSphere Client:

Some of the HCX features will be deprecated in the upcoming major release. Please review and plan your transition accordingly

When attempting to change a parameter (e.g., Destination Network) on the previously created migration draft using the vCenter HCX plugin, you receive the following error:

Http failure response for https://<vCenter-FQDN>/ui/hcx/hcx-ui/rest/hybridity/api/v2/inventory/infra-managers: 500 OK

When attempting to create a migration using the vSphere Plugin for HCX:

Http failure response for https://<vCenter-FQDN>/ui/hcx/hcx-ui/rest/hybridity/api/service/inventory/cloud/list?vcGuid=#####-####-####-#########=####: 500 OK

Environment

HCX 4.11
vCenter 7.0.x

Cause

vCenter 7.x was announced for EOS on October 2, 2025, and the vCenter Plugin for HCX was announced to be deprecated in the future with the release of HCX 4.11; this is a known issue affecting the plugin.
