HTTP failure response 500 when attempting to create mobility group with vCenter Plugin for HCX

Issue/Introduction

• Running HCX 4.11 with vCenter 7.0.
• Mobility groups can be created/edited from HCX hybridity page ie https://<hcx-ip>
• However, attempting to create a migration using the vSphere Plugin for HCX:
  
  Http failure response for https://<vCenter-FQDN>/ui/hcx/hcx-ui/rest/hybridity/api/service/inventory/cloud/list?vcGuid=#####-####-####-#########=####: 500 OK
  
  
  
  
  
• Editing the mobility group from vSphere Plugin for HCX in vCenter shows error
  
  

Environment

HCX 4.11
vCenter 7.0.x

Resolution

This is a known issue impacting VMware HCX 4.11.

Workaround:
Create a migration (Mobility Group) using the HCX UI (port 443), not through the vCenter HCX plugin.

NOTE: The vCenter Plug-in for HCX is deprecated in HCX 4.11 and will be removed in a future release.
