What are the supported versions of PostgreSQL and Redis on VMware Saltstack / Aria Config / Tanzu Guardrails

Issue/Introduction

• Using default PostgreSQL and Redis versions provided by RHEL on dedicated servers
• Are these versions compatible with Aria Automation Config 8.17, or do we need to perform any version checks or upgrades beforehand?
• What versions of PSQL and Redis are supported on standalone servers for Salt?

Environment

• VMware Aria Automation Config
• VMware Tanzu Guardrails for Workloads

Resolution

• Postgres versions 9.6 - 15.x are supported, but PostgreSQL 15.x is recommended.
• Redis version 5.x or 6.x are supported, but Redis 6.2.7 is recommended
