What is the impact to CA Business Service Insight (BSI) when changing the Service Account password used for BSI Configuration?

All versions of CA Business Service Insight

All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

Changing the Service Account Password used with BSI will impact all BSI services, Adapters and Customizations

Steps to change windows Service Account Password:

• All BSI services that startup with this Service Account will need to be updated vis the Windows Services Control Panel
• On the BSI Webserver, under component services COM+ "Oblicore Engine" -> Identity tab, the Service Account is specified and the password will need to updated
• Anonymous Authentication for Customer customization (IIS Server update to set Credentials of Oblicore_Guarantee>>Authentication>>Anonymous Authentication to Domain Account)
• All Adapters that are running with the Service Account will need to be stopped, clear the Service Account and restart the Adapter so it prompts for the password again and the updated password can be entered
