Facing vCenter down alert on daily basis at same time each day

Issue/Introduction

• The following Aria Operations alert triggers on a vCenter adapter each day at the same time: "Adapter instance Object is down" 
• A vCenter backup is being run at the same time.
• vCenter adapter logs on the Aria Operations machine contain messages similar to the following:
  
  Log file location: /storage/log/vcops/log/adapters/VMwareAdapter/VMwareAdapter_<#ID>.log

Cause

The alert is valid, the backup solution is interfering with the Aria Operations adapters connection to the vCenter.

Resolution

Use Maintenance Schedules to suppress the alert during the backup times as per VMware Aria Operations Maintenance Schedules
