Scheduled LiveUpdate does not run on Linux agent if the schedule is set to weekly and Tuesday.

Issue/Introduction

In LiveUpdate policy, I scheduled Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Linux agent's LiveUpdate to run every Tuesday, but it does not run at the specified time on Tuesday.

Environment

• SEP Linux agent

Resolution

Our Engineering team is investigating this issue and will update this document when a solution becomes available.

 

Workaround:

• Set a day other than Tuesday in LiveUpdate policy.
• Configure cron job to run "sav" command that runs LiveUpdate every Tuesday.
