Issue/Introduction

The EEM application is installed on a RHEL 7.9 standalone machine.
When updating to 24.0.1, the upgrade to EEM is failing.

Cause

The version of Python on the system was 2.7.5

Resolution

Have the local system administrator install Python 3.7 or higher.

Source the Python environment.
Run the EEM setup again.

Additional Information

The EEM 12.6.7.0 server installer performs an internal installation or upgrade to CA/Symantec Directory 14.1.05.
Python 3.7 or higher is required to install or upgrade to CA/Symantec Directory 14.1.05.
This prerequisite applies exclusively to non-Windows platforms
