Yesterday afternoon the IP address on <hostname1> was changed. UIM IM picked up the correct IP.
OC inventory however reports both the new IP and the old iP. Unfortunately the UIM/Spectrum integration reports the old IP to Spectrum device model causing a critical alarm.
If IM can report the correct IP why is OC still reporting the old IP also and reporting it to Spectrum?
Critical alarms trigger our app to call at all hours of the day. Bad data being fed to Spectrum triggers bad alarms which in turn triggers people to be woken when they should not be.
Device reported the wrong IP to Spectrum, IM showed the correct IP for the robot, but the OC inventory displayed both IPs, and the wrong IP which does not exist on that device.
Suggested the customer use the controller probe callbacks via Ctrl-P in expert mode to clear the niscache and reset the robot device id.
Customer also deleted the two OC inventory entries and it came back as one with the correct IP once auto-rediscovered.
