Aria Operations is not creating alerts from alerts sent from Aria Operations for Logs

Issue/Introduction

Unable to receive a custom alert from Aria Operations for Logs as a notification event in Aria Operations.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

The parent and child policy had been disabled

• The Alert definition: Notification event

• The Symptom definition: Notification event

Resolution

Enable the parent and child alert,  the Alert definition: Notification event, and  the Symptom definition: Notification event

1. Go to Operations > Configurations > Policy definitions.
   
   
2. Select the Alert definition tab, in the right field type: Notification event, then change the state from Disabled to Activated 
   
   
3. Select the Symptom definition tab, in the right field type: Notification event, then change the state from Disabled to Activated 
   
   
4. Press the save button
