Issue/Introduction

  • Data collection for the Infoblox plugin in Aria Automation fails with a timeout error during execution of the Infoblox_GetIPRanges action. This impacts the integration's ability to fetch IP ranges and complete provisioning workflows

    • java.util.concurrent.CompletionException: com.vmware.admiral.ipam.controller.exception.ActionRunFailedException: Execution of action Infoblox_GetIPRanges failed on provider side: Action run failed with the following error: Action did not complete within 600 seconds timeout.

  • The Assembler > Extensibility > Activity > Action Runs logs for the failed Infoblox_GetIPRanges action would also show the "Action did not complete within 600 seconds timeout" error

Environment

  • Aria Automation version: 8.x

  • Infoblox Plugin 1.5.2

Cause

  • An exception within the Infoblox plugin prevented it from effectively caching previously fetched resources

  • This forced the plugin to repeatedly fetch the same data, leading to excessive execution time and causing the Infoblox_GetIPRanges action to exceed its 600-second timeout limit

Resolution

Upgrade the Aria Automation Infoblox Plugin to version 1.5.4

  • Download and install the latest Infoblox plugin (v1.5.4) from:

  • Navigate to:

    • Assembler > Infrastructure > Connections > Integrations to import the plugin

  • After the upgrade, verify that the Infoblox_GetIPRanges action completes successfully

Additional Information

*Additional Information. This known issue in 1.5.2 was previously fixed in version 1.5.3. however, 1.5.3 has been pulled down from the store due to it not being released for the proper architecture. The fix is to download and install InfoBlox Plugin version 1.5.4.

The VCF Solutions Catalog has been updated and here is the correct link for InfoBlox version 1.5.4:
