Issue/Introduction

Recent upgrade to CA 2E 8.7.  

When processing option G or J from the EDIT FUNCTIONS screen, results in an error

"Vendor YY Product 2CB Release 81 is not licensed."

Environment

Release:  8.7 or above
CA 2E

Cause

Listing out the existing licenses, command YDSPLICPRD (KB Article 281768), may show 2CB (2E COBOL Generator) at older version values of 6.0 or 7.0.  However, for the CA 2E 8.7 release, you need to be licensed to at least release 8.1 for the 2E COBOL Generator component.

Resolution

Collect the information needed for a licensing case (KB Article 230002), then please open a new Licensing case (non-technical case) and request a license for the above code and version, in this case 2CB (2E COBOL Generator) at version 8.1.  For details on creating a non-technical case, see KB Article 216949.
