Issue/Introduction
This article documents the functionality of the 's' (status) command—an alias for /opt/CA/VirtualAppliance/scripts/cavapp_monitor—in CA Identity Suite Virtual Appliance from version 14.5.1 CHF1 onward. In prior product versions, the command could fail due to a missing .isconfigured file in /opt/CA/VirtualAppliance/conf/hosts/; however, this problem has been resolved in recent releases. However, in clustered environments, users may notice a delay when executing the 's' command.

Cause
This latency is due to the command gathering and displaying status information from all nodes in the cluster before returning control to the Linux prompt.
Resolution
No action is necessary. The command works as designed in 14.5.1 CHF1 and above.
This delay is expected behavior, especially in large or complex clusters, and does not indicate a malfunction.
