Unable to Protect 4 VMs in vSAN SRM vSphere Replication

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

The administrator encountered the following error on VMs:

 No storage found for datastore path '[vsanDatastoreName] #####-####-####-####-#######/hbrdisk.RDID-######-###-###-####-########.########.#######.vmdk

Environment

vSphere Live Recovery (all versions)

Cause

The virtual machines were removed from vCenter and then added back. This may have caused the ESXi host to retain a lock on the HBR disk.

Resolution

Remove the replication using graceful removal option and create a new replication.
