Issue/Introduction

While accessing the Instance management screen under Strong Authentication in master Admin console below error is observed when you click on the Protocol Configuration link " Unable to contact the server at this time. Please try later."

Clicking on the Instance Management screen results into this error: " Invalid request received org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: connection or outbound has closed"

Resolution

 

  • The issue involved error messages appearing when accessing the Instance Management and Protocol Management screens for Auth via the Admin Console.

  • You identified that Strong Auth connectivity was set to work only over TCP. After switching to TCP, both the Instance Management and Protocol Management screens became accessible. Before Strong Auth connectivity screen was configured for SSL but not the protocol.

  • It was then observed that the Strong Auth native Auth port (9742) was configured only for basic connectivity and not for SSL, which was the root cause of the error messages.

  • To resolve this, You configured the Strong Auth native port 9742 for SSL.

  • Once SSL was enabled on the port, the Strong Auth connectivity screen, as well as the Instance Management and Protocol Management screens, started working correctly over the SSL port.
