Issue/Introduction

  • After redeploying a cloud proxy, the telegraf agents associated with the CP are in a non collecting state.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

To resolve the issue, the telegraf agents need to be uninstalled and reinstalled again from the UI.

  • Navigate to the 'Manage Telegraf Agents' page, found in the 'Applications' tab of the 'Operations' menu.
    • Operations -> Applications -> Manage Telegraf Agents
  • Find the VM/VMs where the telegraf agent in question resides.
  • Click the three vertical dots button and select 'Uninstall' and follow the steps on the pop-up window to complete the uninstallation.
  • Refresh the list and confirm the agent is uninstalled.
  • Click on the three vertical dots buttons and select 'Install', follow the steps on the pop-up window to complete installation.
  • Refresh the list again to confirm the telegraf agent is installed.
