Issue/Introduction

When attempting to restore a virtual machine through the Rubrik plugin integrated with VMware Cloud Director (vCD), the restore job fails with an error indicating that the vApp restore operation in vCD has failed.

Cause

The issue is not related to VMware Cloud Director itself. It originates from the Rubrik plugin integration used to perform the backup and restore tasks.

Resolution

Engage the Rubrik Support Team for further investigation. A patch fix for the plugin may be required to resolve the issue.
