Issue/Introduction

The alert "No performance data is available for the currently selected metrics" appears when navigating to Storage tab > Monitor > Performance Overview > View Storage I/O

In Hostd trivia logging, the following entries may also be observed:

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

VMware vCenter Server 8.0.x

Cause

After NFS volume rename, filesystem->Refresh() fails with 'volume not found'. That cause datastore to be reported as InActive and perf mgr stops collecting data for it.

Resolution

Removing and re-adding the datastore will allow the filesystem to re-sync with the rename of the NFS volume.
