Issue/Introduction

Malware definitons cannot be updated since some time.

Brightmail Engine log:

SG Decomposer: LiveUpdate LUX error (80840001).

Cause

Enviromental network issue.

Resolution

Ensure that proxy is allowed to connect to the malware repository, provided credentals are good and that other devices are not interrupting the download process. Check if proxy is needed in your organization for downloading updates.
